Hacienda La Alegria in Ecuador offers this special hacienda horse riding tour for those who appreciate the finer things in life when it comes to exploring the Andes and country-style living. Guests are also welcome to get involved in the elaboration of the menus during their stay. This, coupled with days out exploring the breathtaking Ecuadorian Andes, makes for a perfect vacation.

Day 1 Hacienda La Alegria
Your English speaking guide will pick you up in Quito. Begin your journey south through the volcano avenue to the wonderful Hacienda La Alegria. On arrival enjoy a welcome cocktail, fresh fruit platter and juices. Undertake a morning trip around the working hacienda, visit the horse pastures and milking sheds. After the morning tour, a traditional country style lunch will be provided at the hacienda. In the afternoon the gear fittings for the horse tour and journey will take place. Dinner and overnight at Hacienda La Alegria. (L,D)

Day 2 La Alegria (Overnight Camp at Cotopaxi National Park)
In the morning after breakfast we start our horse journey towards Hacienda Hato Verde. Crossing the Ruminahui mountain and Cotopaxi volcano areas. From Hacienda La Alegria we ride south east towards Machachi and into the slopes of the Ruminahui mountain, upwards to Panzaleo through the sanded hills, where the breathtaking scenery of the Cotopaxi volcano and surrounded by the Corazon, Illinizas and Sinchalagua mountains. The beautiful Andean valleys provide the perfect stop of point for a lunch break at 4000 mts. In the afternoon we continue the ride up to Limpiopungo lake inside the Cotopaxi national park and late that afternoon we will arrive to the cozy mountain lodge Tambopaxi, where a great dinner, a hot shower and cozy warm beds await us. Day 3 Arrive Hato Verde
After breakfast we continue our journey towards Hacienda Hato Verde. On arrival enjoy a welcome sangria cocktail, fresh fruit platter and juices. Lunch at Hato Verde. In the afternoon, walk around the working hacienda, visit the horse pastures and milking sheds. Take the afternoon for yourselves to relax and rest after the horseback journey. In the afternoon take part in a wine tasting session at the hacienda.
Dinner and overnight at Hacienda Hato Verde. (B,L,D)

Day 4 Hato Verde
Take the morning to relax and walk around the Hacienda. Lunch at the hacienda and journey by car to return to Quito or continue explorating Ecuador. (B)
